Since March 2020 Australia closed its boarders. We were not allowed out and unless you were a returning citizen or under extreme circumstances like end of life you weren’t allowed in. Parents were no longer classed as immediate family.All my family except for my husband and my children live in the UK. I haven’t seen my parents since November 2019.
Part of my DMP was that my parents will visit me in Australia by 31/1/2022. Since then parents have now been classed as immediate family. The international boarders in many states have fully opened. Queensland where I live is expected to be fully opened by mid January 2022.
My parents have been granted their visas and exemption to travel to Australia. The visas agent said it was granted the quickest she’s ever known it. The next step is for Queensland to set a firm date for Queensland to be completely open so my parents can book their flights.
We are so close to being together. I can feel the emotions of when I see them in the airport. The love I have for them is immense. This is truely going to happen. My heart is filled with joy
